Meet Gracie!!!
Hi! My name is Gracie!! When I was just a wee pup somebody heartless dropped me off at the SPCA of CT. Lucky for me they took good care of me there and soon found me a home with a nice man. He took me to work with him, fed me, loved me, all of that kind of stuff but I had a bad problem with my hip. It would dislocate over and over again and when the vet told the man I lived with that surgery would cost a pretty penny, my man had to give me up. Back to the shelter!! The people there are SO nice but I was very sad to lose my forever home. They gave me my surgery and although I'm still hopping a bit I'm on the road to recovery. The only problem was that once again I had no home! No family! No toys or bed or anyplace to call my own. But then I met Mary and Scott. As soon as they saw me they fell in love and the very next day took me home with them. As soon as I walked in
the door I made myself comfortable. Mary made me a nifty little Hello Kitty bed. It's temporary, but is sure more comfy than a crate. Boy it's great over here. My Aunty Sarah even brought me my very own bass!! I love my bass. I'm full of surprises too. I can sit, come and lay down. None of these for too long but we'll work on that. :) It turns out that I am a VERY picky eater with extremely refined taste. This is good in the sense that I don't bother attempting to nibble on Mary or Scott's dinners. But it is a bit difficult to eat mere kibble either. I prefer kibble with a little freshly cooked rice (don't try feeding me the cold stuff, it just won't hang) or maybe a little broth on top. Maybe I'll eat canned food, but my new Mom and Dad have to research whether or not that's really good for me. Despite my idiosyncrasies I think I'm making my Mom and Dad very happy. Tonight Mary even came home to Scott and I asleep on the floor cuddled up together. So cute!! I've also discovered that there is a strange grey poof animal living here somewhere. I haven't gotten even one sniff on this thing! Everytime she comes around I here a funny noise and then see a grey streak
across the room! I've got to get to the bottom of this mysterious poof ASAP. In the meantime I can't wait until my hip feels better and I can learn to catch a frisbee!! And THEN I get to go to Maine for hiking and swimming! What a blast! And in a few weeks when I'm nicely settled in I can meet my new cousin Kyra and maybe go to the Southbury dog park to make some more new friends!! Anyway,
I'm so happy to finally be home and I can't wait to meet everybody. Especially my new aunties and uncles and Gramma and Grampa!!

Mary, she is so beautiful! Congratulations on your new bundle of joy. Now how to convince my husband once we are in the house we need a petfinder.com, kitty or doggy.
